St. Jean’s Credit Union was proud to support the East Boston Salesian Boys & Girls Club at the 17th Annual Pasta Dinner Fundraiser. Salesian Boys & Girls Club serves youth in East Boston, Revere, Winthrop, Lynn, Chelsea and surrounding Boston areas. Their mission is to provide a welcoming place where lasting friendships are made. The club serves over 3,000 youths with more than twenty (20) programs to allow for engagement and a high level of learning.
“We are proud to be one of the many organizations that support the Salesian mission, helping to fund programs in art, science, music, athletics, education and so much more for kids in our communities,” said David Surface, President and CEO, St. Jean’s Credit Union.

During the fundraiser, there was an opportunity to explain to Senator Edwards the key role credit unions play in their local communities. Given the opportunity, it is important to explain the need to modernize credit union legislation for non-profit member owned state-chartered Credit Unions like St. Jean’s Credit Union.
